Hello all, we recently set up a mastodon account if you are also there you can follow us @radicalresilience@todon.nl
It would be great to be able to share our zine in many languages. Please get in contact if you are motivated to do some translation, even if it’s just one page or a chapter. Our email: radicalresilience [at] riseup.net
Here’s the link to the zine: Caring Movements: Chronic Illness and Activism
We’ve put together a zine about living with chronic illness and taking part in activist movements. The zine reflects on how things are and proposes some ideas on how we can make our movements more inclusive and caring. Here it is available to read online or to print out. If you like it please share and feel free to print and distribute! Thanks to EYFA for the support and encouragement as well as graphic design.
Caring Movements Zine – This should be fine for printing on home printer. If you want to print copies in a “professional” print shop we have another file set up specially for that. Get in contact and we can send you that.
After a long time where due to illness we didn’t manage to make much progress on the film, we are finally getting on with finishing cutting. The last month has been quite productive, and most of the trickiest decisions have been solved.
There are still quite some steps until the film will be ready for release but we are optimistic that it will happen this year.
Watch this space for news of the release date!
We are sad that we still could not continue very much so far with the project, one of us is still being sick and we had to put all our energy into healing. We are sorry about it. Its not a nice situation but the positive aspects are maybe that through making the experience of being chronically sick and low in energy we learn a lot by experience about the subject we are making the film about.
Hopefully the healing will progress and we can soon start working on the film again. We still are very motivated and really hope to be able to finish it still this year. If not maybe we publish the unfinished version some of you already saw in a sneak preview. Its not perfect but as some interviewe says in the film: perfectionism is also a major burnout factor!
Keep it up and wish you all good health!
Hello!
We have had some setbacks to our time plans for the film due to health problems.
We are not far from completion of the part of the film about activist burnout and recovery. Hopefully in the next few months we will have it finished and able to be distributed.
Thanks for your patience!
Welcome to our blog. Please see the About page for information about the project. For the moment, we will post updates on the progress of the film and welcome any discussion or contribution. When the film(s) is ready, we will link to it here. We also plan to include interesting interviews, articles, and links to do with the subject of transformative and sustainable activism.
